Basics about hgh Supplements

What is hGH?  hGH or human growth hormone is a peptide hormone secreted naturally by the pituitary gland. hGH is present in various isoforms in the blood, the major isoform is a 22kDa molecular weight peptide composed of 191 amino acids. It is highly stable owing to the presence of disulphide bonds in its structure. It is known to stimulate various metabolic processes in the cells which effect protein, fat, carbohydrate and mineral metabolism. But the most important role of this hormone is to trigger the liver into secreting Insulin-like Growth Factor-I (IGF-I) which further fosters the production of cartilage cells that cause bone growth. Also, hGH plays an important role in the synthesis of muscle protein and organ growth.

Synthetic production of hGH

Earlier, hGH was isolated from human cadavers; but this source had to be soon discarded because of the presence of some contaminations that led to Creutzfeldt–Jakob. Human cadavers were replaced by recombinant hGH (rhGH) in the 1980s developed by means of genetic engineering. This form of hGH has been yielding good results ever since and has been used to treat several individuals with hGH deficiency. It has gained fame amongst athletes also because of its anabolic properties, wherein it enhances fat utilization and helps build lean body mass.

Use and Abuse

rhGH has been approved by the FDA for use by children and adults. It is used for treating several medical conditions that lead to short stature amongst children like Turner’s syndrome, Prader-Willi syndrome, chronic kidney disease, hGH deficiency or insufficiency, etc. While the use of rhGH in adults is approved for conditions like short bowel syndrome, hGH deficiency due to rare pituitary tumors or their treatment, muscle-wasting disease associated with HIV/AIDS. These qualify as the various uses of recombinant hGH however what makes these more famous can be included under the abuse of the famous peptide. Many people use this very hormone as an anabolic steroid to build muscle in order to increase their athletic performance.

hGH-not really an anti-aging agent?

With age, the levels of hGH in the body naturally declines. So many people suggest that may be ageing could be challenged or at least slowed down with hGH supplements, but no research really supports this thought. hGh is made commercially available under various forms and names eg. Serostim, many of which are used for off-label purposes also. Some of these are designed in a way such it enhances fat utilization to improve lean body mass and weight and also for increasing the endurance and stamina amongst athletes.

Also, the use of hGH for these purposes is not FDA-approved and can even have side effects. Its long term effects are not very well known but one very common side effect is Acromegaly found in the people who do not monitor their intake of hGH. Few other problems resulting from misuse are fluid retention, hypertension, and an increased risk of diabetes mellitus, cardiomyopathy, osteoporosis, menstrual irregularities, and even impotence. One should use the hGH supplements only under strict medical regulation because many countries regulate the purchase of it only by prescription. It is highly recommended that one enjoys its wide range of benefits without indulging into hGH doping that might result in adverse effects of the same.

This is manufactured in liver. This hormones release is highly influenced by growth hormone.

Side effects of using growth hormone injections:

Studies have conducted with main focus on risks of growth hormone injections in non-supervised use when combined with anabolic or androgenic steroids with an intention of muscle gains.

There are experts who have released articles which mainly discourage the use of performance enhancers. This is because they are non ethical and does not have any scientific evidence for their effectiveness. One more reason behind this discouragement is possible negative effects of HGH injections. If in case an individual already has adequate amount of growth hormones, then it is not recommended to take injections due to the risk of possible side effects.

OWC DEC USB-C Dock Adds Missing Ports to the 2016 MacBook Pro

Apple‘s breathless quest for thinner and lighter devices has left a lot of ports in the dust. That’s why it’s not entirely surprising to see weird accessories such as Belkin’s iPhone 7 adapter and now, OWC’s DEC USB-C dock for the new MacBook Pro laptops.

OWC DEC USB-C Dock Adds Missing Ports to the 2016 MacBook ProIf you don’t mind using a bulkier, heavier laptop, then you might consider attaching OWC’s DEC dock to your MacBook Pro. At the moment, even OWC’s product page doesn’t appear to have much information about the dock, other than photos and that it’s “coming soon”. Unsurprisingly the dock makes the MacBook Pro look rather ugly.

OWC, which started operations in India recently, offers after-market upgrades for several Apple products and has been in business for over 25 years. An Apple Insider report claims that the DEC dock will offer 4TB of storage, three USB 3 Type-A ports (seen in most pen drives and USB devices you use today), a Gigabit Ethernet port, and an SD card slot as well.

The report says that OWC has claimed that the DEC dock sits flush against the 2016 MacBook Pro and doesn’t jut out on the sides. OWC has also claimed, according to the report, that with the dock attached, your 2016 MacBook Pro will be as thick as the 2012 MacBook Pro. At the moment all we know is that this is set to ship sometime in 2017.

If you care about looks, this product is definitely not going to appeal to you. However, if functionality is paramount then this might be a good bet. If this dock offers extra battery life to the 2016 MacBook Pro, this could appeal to many more people. However, based on the limited information we have right now, that doesn’t seem to be the case.

CES 2017: Linksys Velop Brings Mesh Wi-Fi, at a Higher Price Than Google Wifi

Linksys is joining the mesh Wi-Fi bandwagon at CES 2017, with what it’s calling Velop. Shaped like a medium-sized tower very much like the computer speakers of old, the Velop modules are available standalone, and as packs of two or three.

CES 2017: Linksys Velop Brings Mesh Wi-Fi, at a Higher Price Than Google WifiThe US company’s entry into the nascent field comes after all of Eero, Google and Netgear, all of whom arrived with their versions last year. Like them, Velop modules are meant to be placed around the house, in a bid to envelop your house in Wi-Fi and eliminate any dark spots.

If you’ve been suffering from the latter, it won’t be a cheap task by any means. A single module costs $200 (about Rs. 13,600), with packs of two and three at $350 and $500 (about Rs. 23,850 and Rs. 34,000) respectively. The current pricing also seems to be introductory, with the Linksys website mentioning $30 higher prices otherwise for all three. By contrast, Google Wifi starts at $129 (about Rs. 8,800) for one, and $299 (about Rs. 20,000) for a pack of three.

What you get in return, claims Linksys, is the fastest experience from any mesh system. The system will also have its own app that neatly integrates a bunch of necessary functions, such as parental control, device optimisation, guest network, speed test, and auto fix.
Unlike other mesh Wi-Fi systems, Velop works with Alexa – Amazon’s voice assistant – which is meant to help perform a range of functions, but is currently limited to turning the guest network on or off, or narrating the Wi-Fi password.
With Velop, Linksys also continues the trend of making routers look as minimalistic as possible, so buyers don’t have to think of ways to hide them. Unfortunately, Velop is easily on the larger side when it comes to size (at 7.3-inches tall), unlike the small pucks of Google Wifi.

In terms of coverage, Linksys says that a single Velop module can cover an area of 185 square metres (2,000 square feet), adding a second increases their reach up to 370 square metres (4,000 square feet), and a total of three should be good for a house around 557 square metres (6,000 square feet).

Velop is already up for pre-order, ships January 15, and comes with a three-year limited warranty.

No Nintendo Switch, PC Releases for Persona 5 and Yakuza 0

Yakuza 0 and Persona 5 are two hotly anticipated titles soon to be released on PlayStation platforms. And it seems that it would stay this way.

No Nintendo Switch, PC Releases for Persona 5 and Yakuza 0If you were holding out for either game hitting PC or the Nintendo Switch, think again. Taking to Twitter to address fans asking if either game would see a release outside of Sony consoles, Atlus/Sega of America PR manager John Hardin had this to say:

“Persona 5 platforms: PS3, PS4. Yakuza 0 platforms: PS4. THAT’S. IT. No Switch. No PC. Idk [I don’t know] about the box label, that’s a Sony thing.”

What Hardin is referring to is Yakuza 0 sporting a label that states “PS4 Console Exclusive Game” in the US. Which did give some hope it would be available on other platforms. For the European release it says “Only On PlayStation”.
Nonetheless, Nintendo’s first-party line-up is usually the reason for many a fan to buy its consoles. With Beyond Good and Evil 2 rumoured to be a timed exclusive along with Splatoon and Mario along with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild — that’s now expected to be available at launch, at least in the US, would be Switch buyers have a fair bit to look forward to.

“We have also heard that the current plan is for the more expensive Switch SKU (stock keeping unit) to come bundled with a new version of Splatoon. A big part of the push for this will be a 1 vs 1 mode where two players on separate Switches can fight over a map, switching their weapon of choice at will mid-game,” a post from serial Switch leaker LetsPlayVideoGames reads before stating Nintendo plans to support it with free content like it did for the Wii U version of the game.
